One of the most attractive and imposing mountain lakes, namely Oeschinensee, is reached by gondola rail from Kandersteg. And cable railway is also your ticket to pass hikes via Hohtürli in the Kiental valley.
Sixty years long one rode sideways, in two-seater carriages up to the Oeschinensee, with views of the Doldenhorn – whereas today colourful and modern gondola rail carriages for eight carry guests to the top. A 25-minute walk then takes you to the lake, or you can opt for the electro-taxi instead.
